Jason Kelley, CAP’s founder and a Teaching Assistant and PhD student in the Department of Language & Literacy Education at the University of Georgia (UGA), developed the Comic book Creator Classroom in Spring 2024.

CCC is a 9-week English Language Arts (ELA) support program at a Title I school called the Comicbook Creator Classroom (CCC). This program inspired two struggling fourth-grade classes to read, draw, and create their own adventures using their favorite characters and a series of engaging scaffolded class activities.
